OMAHA, Neb., May 1, 2012 - Omaha Steaks today announced that the company will sponsor a Salute OurTroops initiative throughout the month of May. Events and activities are planned to salute the members of the U.S. military, while raising funds to support the Armed Forces Foundation, a national organization that is dedicated to providing comfort and support to members of the military and their families.

Highlights of the month-long Salute our Troops campaign include:
— Ten percent from the sale of specially created Omaha Steaks packages
will be donated to the Armed Forces Foundation. Packages are available

the company’s more than 80 retail stores nationwide.
— A Homecoming Heroes Facebook Contest at http://www.facebook.com/omahasteaks,
where people are invited to submit their heart-warming military
homecoming stories for a chance to win Omaha Steaks for a year.
— An in-store promotion where customers are invited to purchase paper
flags at $1 each for display in the stores with all proceeds being
donated to the Armed Forces Foundation.
