KATE AND CASSIE CARE! This Harvest Season, Charity Reaps the Benefits of Kate & Cassie wines

NAPA, Calif., Sept. 21 - Kate & Cassie wines, California Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend, are kicking off the harvest by giving a buck—a buck a case that is—to three charitable organizations dedicated to women’s health and social issues.  Kate & Cassie wines, available exclusively at Target Superstores nationwide for under $15, were inspired by two real-life young women.  Kate is a mother of three who has dealt with serious breast health issues since she was a teen and Cassie has just begun her career in the wine business.

On Monday, September 21, 2009, Kate & Cassie will be featured at New York City’s SHARE 6th Annual “A Second Helping of Life” to Fight Breast and Ovarian Cancer. New York actresses Jane Alexander, Dixie Carter, Lili Taylor, Samantha Mathis and Jill Eikenberry will don aprons to dish up gourmet treats alongside some of NYC’s top female chefs. Another NYC-based charitable institution with global impact, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation , has been selected by Kate & Cassie wines as a beneficiary.  The BCRF, founded in NYC by Evelyn Lauder in 1993, provides critical funding for innovative clinical and genetic research at leading medical centers worldwide.  Their goal is to find a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime, and the organization is regarded as one of the most successful of its kind in raising funds for private research as well as increasing public awareness about good breast health.  Kate & Cassie wines will support their efforts through cash and in-kind donations throughout the year. http://www.bcrf.org
