ST. JAMES, Mo., April 13 - St. James Winery ranks as the number two top gold medal winning winery in the entire US in 2009, finishing just behind a Napa, California winery. The Missouri winery earned 57 gold medals last year, more than any winery in the country, trailing only V. Sattui winery of Napa by a small margin. In addition, 12 of St. James Winery’s 57 gold medals were Best of Class awards.

St. James Winery garnered their 57 gold medals from 15 nationally and internationally recognized wine competitions, including the prestigious Los Angeles Wine & Spirits, Indy and International Eastern contests. The wine competitions are held throughout the year and are open to all wineries across the US.
