Premier Inn Bangalore Whitefield Judged Best Budget/Economy Hotel at HICSA awards 2010

Mumbai, April 8th 2010: The UK’s biggest hospitality chain, Premier Inn today celebrates the success of its flagship hotel in India, Premier Inn Bangalore Whitefield, being awarded Hotel of the Year in the budget/economy category at the 6th Hotel Investment Conference - South Asia (HICSA) 2010. Having won numerous awards for its premium services in the UK, the recognition in India is the latest feather in the cap for Premier Inn globally, and the first in the country. This achievement comes just six months following the launch of the Premier Inn brand in India.

The winners were announced on the second day of the HICSA awards 2010 held at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The hotel was earlier nominated by a panel of judges comprising of industry experts such as Homi Aibara, Partner, Mahajan and Aibara; Akshay Kulkarni, Executive Director-South Asia, Cushman & Wakefield; Manav Thadani, Managing Director, HVS India; Ritu Kler, Managing Director, Total Integrated Design; Nikhil Nath, CEO, Knowcross Solutions and Navneet Bali, CIO, Duet India Hotels Ltd. A total of 39 hotels were nominated for the awards this year in four different categories. The winners were selected by the HICSA delegates via an online voting system.

Premier Inn Bangalore Whitefield, situated at Brookfield Main Road, Bengaluru, is a 105 room hotel housing a multi cuisine restaurant, a bar, an equipped gym and a meeting room. It offers quality rooms, comfortable surroundings and friendly service, all backed by the company’s ‘Good Night Guarantee’ – a good night’s sleep or 100% refund of the money. A unique feature of the hotel is that the guests are not charged on occupancy, same tariff for single double or family occupancy even during high occupancy.  All the rooms in the hotel feature Hypnos beds; Hypnos has a reputation for making the most comfortable beds in the world.

It aims to provide good quality food & beverage through its restaurant, ‘LINX’ and the lounge bar ‘87’. The focus is on providing a home style F&B experience. Breakfast is a buffet of all one can eat with up to 2 children under 15 year of age eating free when accompanied by an adult. The offering is a good mix of European dishes eggs, sausages, cereals, yoghurts, breads, pastries complimented by traditional Indian breakfast dishes. The lunch buffet consists of convenient, fresh, simple yet tasty food, with a good mix of Indian and International dishes. The focus of the a la carte menu for the dinner is to provide simple, home style cooked food, with European, oriental and Indian influences. The beverage list features a good mix of all regular liquor varieties and of course a good selection of beers, wines, classic cocktails and mocktails.
