New manager at The Legacy Three Swans Hotel

7 April 2010 - Hungerford - A new manager has been appointed at The Legacy Three Swans Hotel in Hungerford.

Stephen Ball joins the Legacy Hotels and Resorts group having enjoyed five years managing The Walnut Tree Hotel in West Camel, Somerset.

The 29-year-old has spent all his working life in the hotel industry having graduated from the University of Plymouth with an upper second class honours degree in hospitality and management and said he was thrilled to take over at the three-star hotel on High Street.

“I’ve been born and bred into the hotel industry and was really impressed with what Legacy Hotels stands for – its ethos, values and the family feel of its hotels,” Stephen said.

“There is already a great team in place at the Three Swans and Legacy has some really exciting plans for the hotel which I’m looking forward to playing a major part in.”

Stephen, who is from Yeovil in Somerset, is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing cricket, golf, skiing and scuba diving.

Andy Townsend, chief executive of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, said he was delighted with the latest addition to his management team.

He said: “Stephen has already enjoyed a really successful career in hotel management and we were impressed with his enthusiasm for the role and his vision for the hotel and I’m delighted to welcome him on board.”

Legacy, which was founded in 2005, operates hotels across the UK and Southern Spain and took over the management of the 25 en-suite room Three Swans Hotel in Hungerford in September 2009.
