The Novotel Hotel in Marsh Mills will be re-named the Legacy Plymouth International Hotel when contracts are exchanged next Monday, 11th October.
Legacy Hotels and Resorts manage and represent 24 hotels across the UK, Jersey and Southern Spain and are embarking on an expansion programme in the South West.
Chief Executive Andy Townsend said: “The 100-bedroom hotel fits our profile for hotels and is a well positioned foothold in the South West.
“We have a number of pipeline projects that will have us becoming a better established name in the region.
“It is a three star hotel which is very well located with good links to the A38 and we believe that we can make several key improvements to help drive trade forward.
“The existing staff will be transferring across to work for the hotel, but the current general manager will stay with Accor, which owns the Novotel brand.”
