World’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Opens Newest Location in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Maine, May 7, 2012 - Dickey’s Barbecue is ready to serve foot stompin’, knee slappin’ barbecue in Augusta. Franchise owners and barbecue fanatics, Lee and Belinda Kerr, are opening their new store on May 10 and giving the first 100 customers a free pulled pork big barbecue sandwich.

“We are extremely excited to open our newest location,” said franchise owner Lee Kerr. “Dickey’s offers a family-friendly atmosphere and is unlike any other fast casual chain out there.”

Lee Kerr has 30 years of experience in retail and restaurant marketing. The couple will be dividing up the responsibilities of running their new location. Lee will work nights and weekends as a shift leader and his wife Belinda serve as the manager. With their multi-unit agreement, the couple plans on opening three to five stores over the next few years.
