Kitty Whitney Appointed Executive Director Of Sandestin Real Estate
Expansion Planned On Florida’s Emerald Coast
DESTIN, FL, June 15, 2012 Kateri “Kitty” Whitney has been
appointed executive director of Sandestin Real Estate, it was announced
today by Tom Becnel, chairman of Sandestin Investments LLC.
With more than 13 years in the real estate industry, Ms. Whitney has
extensive experience in various areas of residential and commercial
real estate. Her goal for Sandestin Real Estate is to be the top
producing company on Florida’s Emerald Coast, ranging from Destin
through eastern Walton County. She and her team plan to further
revitalize the area’s real estate market while communicating the value
and positive lifestyle that the community offers.
Ms. Whitney joined Sandestin Real Estate after serving as president and
CEO of the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, an organization with more
than 1,000 members. While there, Ms. Whitney improved operations,
communications and the organization’s profitability.
Ms. Whitney’s past management experience also includes ownership of The
Infusion Network, the nation’s first free standing ambulatory infusion
center; international work for Cyrix, a worldwide semiconductor
company; and management of a home healthcare network. She began her
professional career in the healthcare industry as a registered nurse.
“Kitty brings strong leadership skills, respect and excellent business
practices to Sandestin Real Estate,” said Becnel. “We are optimistic
that she and her team will make a significant and positive impact for

Ms. Whitney received her bachelor’s degree from Nicholls State
University. She has been a leader in various nonprofit groups including
Walton County Education Foundation and Catholic Charities. She and her
husband Todd reside in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort with their son
Max.
