AirTran Airways Customers Affected by Tropical Storm Hanna May Change Travel Plans Without Penalty

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 4 2008 - Based on the current forecasts for Tropical Storm Hanna by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., (NYSE:AAI), is offering passengers with flights booked to/from Charleston, S.C., from noon on September 5 through September 6, 2008, to change their travel plans without change fees or fare adjustments.  The airline is also offering passengers booked to/from Raleigh/Durham, N.C., as well as Richmond and Newport News/Williamsburg, Va., on September 6, to change their travel plans without change fees or fare adjustments due to this approaching storm.  Passengers may adjust their travel plans to an alternate date starting today through seven days from the original travel date.
