Zoover Wins at the Prestigious LeWeb ‘08 Awards in Paris

  In Paris this week the 5th International Le Web Awards were handed out.
Zoover, the website that features independent holiday reviews by and for
critical consumers, was one of the big winners in the category ‘Start Up’. Le
Web is one of the largest and leading International Congresses for online
activity and has some 1700 participants from 25 countries. The prize was
awarded by the French Economic Minister; Christine Lagarde.

  Jury report

  From thirty selected companies from all over Europe, Zoover was the only
travel industry website, and ended third in the category ‘Start Up’. After a
presentation given to a professional Jury, Zoover remained a potential winner
together with two other participants. The Jury was especially impressed by
Zoover’s customer service, the simplicity of the site which made it easy for
anybody to use and the perfect use of user generated content. Another
appealing fact is that Zoover offers a platform for the travel- and hotel
industry. The rapid expansion of Zoover was also praised. Zoover launched
websites in thirteen countries during the last year, including: Belgium,
France, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Italy,
Denmark and Turkey. Six new offices were also opened during this time.

  Financial Crisis

  The live feedback that Zoover received from the Jury also dealt with the
often talked about financial crisis. Zoover has remained extremely profitable
during this crisis, and is a successful organisation with a winning formula
both at home and abroad. It’s a platform where tour operators can also
