Statement from Restaurateur Tom Colicchio and Craft Worldwide Holdings
NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2008 - In response to a lawsuit filed by Outten & Golden, restaurateur Tom Colicchio has issued the following statement:
In 20+ years of operating restaurants, while employing nearly 1,000 employees, neither Tom Colicchio nor any of his restaurants—Craft, Craftbar and all the restaurants that make up Craft Worldwide Holdings (CWH)—have ever been accused of impropriety of any kind.
The Craft family of restaurants has long been a leader in fair employment practices, providing compensation and benefits that exceed industry standards. Our commitment to fairness and responsible stewardship extends to all of our relationships with employees, guests, farmers and purveyors.
We believe that litigation will show these claims to be without merit, and that Craftbar and Craft Worldwide Holdings have conducted themselves with the highest integrity and concern for the well-being of their employees.
