Terry Jones Joins Smart Destinations Board of Directors

BOSTON, MA - 02/02/09— Smart Destinations Inc.,
the fastest growing travel company on the Inc. 500, announced Terry
Jones has joined its Board of Directors. The Travelocity Founder and
Internet luminary brings decades of travel experience, deep technical
understanding, and unique expertise on the confluence of travel and
the Internet consumer.

“You would be hard pressed to find a better addition to an already
strong Board,” said Kevin McLaughlin, co-founder and CEO of Smart
Destinations. “Terry doesn’t just have a combination of travel and
technology experience, he was one of the driving forces behind the
application of the Internet to the travel industry.”

Jones, currently managing principal of consulting firm Essential
Ideas, founded Travelocity and led the company as president and CEO
from its launch until 2002. An experienced board member, Jones has
served on the boards of Travelocity, Overture Services, Vendare and
Entrust, and now serves on the boards of directors of EarthLink,
Rearden Commerce, and is chairman of Kayak.com.  Before Travelocity,
Jones served as CIO at Sabre and prior to that was a division
president at American Airlines.

“The impact of technology on travel has been a big component of my
career,” said Jones. “In Smart Destinations I see one of those
companies that is using technology not for its own sake, but in a way
that creates value for their customers and partners. They are
enabling the kind of change that always accompanies meaningful
technical innovation: a reduction of costs coupled with an increase
in convenience.”
