Red Hawk Casino Sponsors Russell Brainard in Legends of Bartending Competition
SACRAMENTO, CA - 02/27/09— Red Hawk Casino is
pleased to announce its sponsorship of flair bartender Russell
Brainard at the Legends of Bartending World Championships. Brainard
was selected to compete at the advanced level of the flair bartending
competition, which requires him to complete four drinks in less than
three minutes. The eleventh annual competition, which is organized
by High Spirits Enterprises, will be held Sunday, March 1 through
Tuesday, March 3 at Luxor’s LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Legends of Bartending is one of the world’s largest flair bartending
competitions, featuring more than 75 participants from around the
globe. Competitors must be invited to participate in the pro division,
advanced division, or through individual rounds. During the
competition, the bartenders will be evaluated based on their pour,
speed and flair accuracy. Approximately $25,000 will be awarded to
participants in cash and prizes throughout the competition.

Brainard, who resides in Orangevale, Calif., has been working at Red
Hawk Casino since the property opened in December 2008. His flair
bartending career began just two years ago when he was promoted to
bartender while working at T.G.I. Friday’s(R). Although he has
participated in several local competitions, the Legends of Bartending
World Championships will mark his first appearance on the global
competitive bartending scene.
The competition finals, which are open to the public, will be held on
