DETROIT, Jan. 29 - The Executive Meeting Center at the Westin Southfield now offers Detroit meeting goers 5,900 square feet of IACC-approved meeting space ideal for small to medium-size meetings. The International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) certification is an elite mark of superior quality in product and service and only awarded to facilities meeting IACC standards. The newly certified meeting space is the culmination of a multimillion dollar renovation the hotel completed earlier in 2008 that covered all guestrooms and public spaces.
With a specialization in small to medium-size meetings, the Executive Meeting Center at the Westin Southfield is the perfect location for important meetings such as Product Launches, Strategic Planning, Board of Directors/Committees/Staff Meetings, Budget/Audit, Incentive/Motivational, Team Building, Customer Presentations, continuing Education and Training Programs. In total the complex offers 5,900 square feet of IACC-approved meeting space in five meeting rooms and two offices. The hotel has an additional 17 meeting rooms and ballrooms that seat 500 and 250 respectively.

At the Executive Meeting Center at the Westin Southfield a designated planner provides a single point of contact for meeting groups and skilled support staff. Conference rooms are specially engineered with such features as ergonomic chairs, tables with non-glare surfaces, tackable walls, appropriate lighting and acoustics. There is also a full inventory of standard audiovisual equipment as well as advanced conference technologies.
