Hotels Embrace the Power of Positive
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 10 2008 - The DCH Group, an emerging leader in providing the hospitality industry with turnkey consulting services, has expanded its turnkey offering to include advanced media products in addition to the volume pricing agreements with manufacturers of furniture, fixtures and equipment. The Company, through a series of recent acquisitions and the formation of significant strategic alliances has experienced its business develop beyond expectations. The Company focus is to provide hotels, resorts and casino clients with the most cost effective, unique, state-of-the-art bundled turnkey FF&E and media services available.
The company is based in San Antonio, Texas, and was pleased to announce earlier this year that it was successful in attracting powerhouse Texas businessman and real estate developer Dwaine Rivers to serve as the Company’s President and CEO. This was predicated by the announcement that the current company President and co-founder, Robert “Bob” Henkel who led the company since 2006, was retiring. The Company business is exceeding expectations in the marketplace based on the significantly positive response from hotel owners and operators relative to the new products and services offered. One such offering is due to the key acquisition of Maximus Multimedia International, LLC in the second quarter of this year.
“The DCH Group has been steadily working toward a program to stimulate pay-per-use programs in client properties which translate into increased incremental income for those clients,” said Rivers. “The new features coming out of the Maximus Nation are exciting to see and experience. It is certain that the guest experience at our client properties will be more unique and exciting than anything they have experienced previously,” concluded Rivers.
The company led a consortium of investors to acquire the assets of SVI Media and then launched Maximus Multimedia International to establish one of the largest providers of video-on-demand movie systems and customized Internet for the hospitality industry. Additionally the offering includes state-of-the-art technology from companies such as CallTower, GBCBlue, IP3, Nomadix, 3Com, and Teledex. Other services offered by Maximus Multimedia International are in-room Entertainment-on-Demand, High Speed Internet, Free to Guest Satellite Programming, High Definition Television, Hosted and Managed Communications, Guest-Use Computer Systems, and Video Conferencing.
A recent development for Maximus was the announcement of its partnership with Charter Business(R), a provider of multimedia and telecomm services to small and medium-sized businesses. The agreement will offer hotels in Charter’s service area a suite of services consisting of Charter’s Internet and video services through the Maximus entertainment-on-demand service. The goal of the agreement is to offer travelers the same media experience that they receive in their home although with extra interactive features.
“Hoteliers want to be able to serve their guests the highest quality in-room entertainment available,” said Mike Harding, president and CEO of Maximus.. We are very rapidly becoming the first and most valued choice for the hotelier’s media needs.”
“Charter is committed to offering value and convenience tailored to the specialized needs of our business customers,” said Jim McGann, vice president and general manager for Charter Business. “We are proud to deliver in-room services for our hotel and hospitality customers that enhance the guest experience and now includes telephone, Internet and video services as well as video-on-demand provided by Maximus.”
“The hoteliers’ response has been overwhelmingly positive to the new Maximus products and has honestly exceeded our expectations,” said Randall James, executive director of The DCH Group. “We essentially are committed to becoming the best in the world and it starts with figuring out creative ways to assist our clients by increasing income from within the property beyond check-in. The condition of the industry affords a huge opportunity that should result in Maximus becoming the first choice to any hotelier wanting to save money and provide a more advanced system to enhance the guest experience,” James added.
The DCH Group has also made strides throughout other facets of the business in strengthening its ability to provide valued pricing for core products such as architecture, design, and customized FF&E packages. The Company earlier in the year announced an agreement with Details Hospitality Alliance (DHA), a leader in the manufacturing of furniture and fixtures based in Boca Raton, Florida. Mark Brenner, President of DHA states, “The DCH program is so visionary that we were taken back by its off the chart efficiencies and effectiveness. DCH has a well-planned program and due to the professional training and broad experience of the DCH agents the hoteliers are able to have their issues handled in a consolidated manner. Additionally, the DCH agents are trained to put the client’s needs first and that is what we at DHA identified with early in the process of negotiating our agreement with The DCH Group. The DCH agent is available to the client property 24/7 and that’s a great feeling as we use the program to best support the DHA client…it simply works, especially for our customer,” Brenner concluded.
In completing the agreement with DHA, the company can now offer a five star level of quality at a significant savings for the hotelier. “We are always looking for ways to cut our clients’ cost of doing business,” states Randall James. “When you are a turnkey facilitator, you can justify cost in designing better functionality and guest amenities. The more we can save the client on all the items required at the property the greater the opportunity for the hotelier to deliver an outstanding guest experience and drive traffic into the property through our unique and state-of-the-art amenities,” James concluded.
These are a few of the many initiatives The DCH Group is involved in. The Company is enjoying major success to-date and the outlook into the future is brightened by the Company’s creative abilities. This creative and unique approach to the market has clearly shown that the Company has established a significant differential between The DCH Group and all other competitive forces in the market. The key seems to be the people within the administration and their ability to clearly focus on what best serves the client and the client’s objectives.
All indications are that if The DCH Group continues to strive forward at the rate it is currently moving and maintains the advantage of such creativity, then obviously the Company’s success will continue. It should be an exciting ride for those at The DCH Group in becoming the world leader in hospitality turnkey services.
