Our Client a 5 star Luxury Hotel in Shanghai, China requires a self assured person with a really professional and approachable manner for the challenging role of Security Manager (Fire Chief):
JOB SUMMARY
To establish and maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees as well as all assets of the Hotel and property of guests and staff through a personalised, courteous and friendly security service.
To develop and train a team of Security personnel with due diligence to both security and service as equal parts to providing the security service
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishment of policies and procedures for Security Department
Recruitment and training of Security Officers with focus on style in providing a discreet security presence
To establish and maintain all procedures with respect to Fire Safety and Security in accordance with statutory requirements
Responsible for establishment of an Emergency Team, development of procedures, maintaining equipment in good order and skills training of team members
In charge of handling all unusual guest or employee problems, i.e. disorderly conduct, theft, death, bomb threat, fire or safety hazards, accident, robbery and fire.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
Fully aware and trained in fire and related emergency procedures
Advantage to have self defence knowledge and training
Able to demonstrate clear thinking and decision making in an emergency
Able to prepare written reports for Management and authorities as necessary
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Fire training diploma – current and updated with required ongoing training
First aid skills
Verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin. Any additional language skills would be an advantage
