A leading European retail giant is now commencing business in the Greater China Region and is actively seeking high caliber individual to join its organization to be based in Guangzhou as a Director of Mall.
Reporting to the Regional Director, this position is responsible for overseeing the entire mall operation by developing and implementing mall strategy and functions to deliver a comprehensive mall asset management service. The role is to monitor that mall will have to operation in maximum capacity to deliver net income to the P&L through setting functional and cross-functional processes. You should create, adapt and ensure that all the mall formats and specifications comply with financial and customer objectivities. You should also set the right tenant mix to ensure a complete range of services or destination retail mall is offered to the customers. A comprehensive set up and leasing process will have to be in place to allow the mall is open to maximum possible occupancy. You should also be able to develop and lead a team to understand and deal with customer interfaces. You should provide strong leadership values and demonstrate, lead, coach and motivate staff consistently towards adding value to the business. You must manage the performance of all staff for their contribution and ensure continuous improvement through active career development plans.
To be successful in this job, you should have a minimum tertiary degree or equivalent with at least 10 - 15 years solid experience in operating and managing a mall or retail or commercial retail real estate operations. You should have excellent leadership skills and able to lead, coach and motivate staff to consistently provide maximum customer satisfaction to the end users of the mall with the highest quality standard in services. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skill and is able to work under pressure. Fluency is English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential to be effective in this role.
