Corporate Services and Real Estate
The goal of Corporate Services and Real Estate (CSRE) is to deliver a world class workplace to the people of Goldman Sachs. CSRE consists of two primary business functions:
• Business Services delivers quality, cost effective support to internal clients throughout Goldman Sachs. Its three business units are Travel, Document Management and Hospitality.
• Real Estate plans, develops, builds and operates Goldman Sachs facilities in over 60 cities in 23 countries around the world. Its two business units are: Strategy, comprising Planning and Transactions; and Operations, comprising Capital Projects and Building Operations.
These businesses are supported by the CSRE Finance team, which includes the disciplines of financial accounting and reporting, operations finance, procurement and contracts management and business planning; and the CSRE Administration and Communications team, which is responsible for organizational development and internal and client communications.
Reporting to the manager of Food Services, this position is responsible for the technical audit and process of daily food service operations. Also serves as vendor contract management food service liaison.
Principal Responsibilities
• Serve as support for the firm’s contract food service audit and quality control programs.
• Ongoing financial analysis reporting and budget reconciliations. Evaluate and track the accuracy of all food service related vendor invoices and budgets.
• Insure adherence to all local, state and federal food safety regulations and requirements for the firm’s food operations & facilities. Perform inspections of cafeterias and kitchens with our food safety consultant and conduct sanitation meetings with food service vendors.
• Perform inspections of all hospitality areas and work closely with building operations to ensure daily maintenance and equipment repairs are being completed.
• Maintain and update the Meals and Catering Web Page.
• Client interaction and resolve comments, suggestions, and complaints.
• Manage the ongoing partnership between Food Services and the Wellness Exchange.
• Secondary support for BCP services.
Experience / Skills
• Proven management skills, particularly with vended services
• Strong project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively across levels in the firm
• Knowledge of hospitality management operations
• Active food service industry involvement to include SFM
• Serve Safe Certification
• Understanding of the state and local health and sanitation codes
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum five years food service operational experience.
• Prefer formal culinary training or comparable work experience
• Experience with accounts of $5mm or larger
EDUCATION:
BS degree in hospitality/food services management or related field, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
