Job description
Direct and organize the activities of the Food and Beverage Department to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and merchandising to maximize hotel Profitability.
Previous experience leading hotel teams to success in banquets, restaurants, room service and catering is strongly preferred.
The Hilton Garden Inn Edison/Raritan Center is located in Edison, New Jersey, in the Raritan Center Business Park and 1/2 mile from the New Jersey Convention and Exhibition Center. The hotel is 20 minutes from downtown Newark, 25 minutes from Newark International Airport and only 30 minutes from Manhattan. Local corporations include Federal Express, Fuji, RJR Nabisco, Bell Atlantic, Lucent, ADP, NY Times, UPS, Whirlpool, Aramark and the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. The hotel is a short drive from over 25 restaurants and walking distance to two. Two large shopping malls, the Woodbridge Mall and Menlo Park Mall are a ten minute drive from the hotel. The Great American Grill Restaurant is open daily for full breakfast. Lunch is served Monday-Friday. Room Service is available in the evening -seven days a week. The hotel has a Business Center that is complimentary to guests and accessible 24 hours a day. Services in the Business Center include a computer and printer, complimentary high speed internet access, fax machine and copy machine. The Pavilion Pantry is open 24 hours to satisfy that late night craving. An indoor pool with whirlpool and fitness center is also available. The hotel lobby is wired for speed and includes data ports for complimentary access to the internet as well as wireless service. All guest rooms are equipped with category 5 wiring for complimentary high speed internet access. Over 5,000 square feet of conference space and function space is available with special design features including high speed cat 5 wiring with special consideration to lighting levels, audio visual equipment and sound, as well as conference desks and ergonomic chairs that create an environment contusive to meetings and social functions.
