Over the next several months, I’m going to be busting my hump to go from start-up (seat of my pants) supplier, to making a living for myself and hopefully others.
Recently, my home state of Michigan passed a smoking ban in public places. Nothing new there, many states have had bans in place for years. But in the last three years a new product has come to market for smokers called an electronic cigarette. It’s essentially a personal, portable vaporizer that takes a food grade nicotine solution with some flavoring (any flavor you want) and vaporizes it to be inhaled like a cigarette. But there is no smoke, just water vapor, and is at least (according to the American Association of Public Health Physicians) 1000 times more healthy than traditional cigarettes, with no second hand smoke”
I digress, my new company is concerned with supplying disposable versions of these e-cigs to the hospitality industry for resale or as comp. We’ve also developed an attractive point of entry decal to let people know that an establishment is “e-cig friendly” or that “ecigs are sold here”.
Any suggestions or helpfull experiences with breaking into this industry for a guy that is literally on a shoestring budget and trying to reclaim all lost to the “recession”.
Cheers
