Jules Undersea Lodge

When guests visit Jules’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida, they discover that the name is no marketing gimmick. Just to enter the Lodge, one must actually scuba dive 21 feet beneath the surface of the sea. Jules’ really is underwater. Diving through the tropical mangrove habitat of the Emerald Lagoon and approaching the world’s only underwater hotel is quite an experience. Even from the outside, Jules’ big 42 inch round windows cast a warm invitation to come in and stay a while, relax and get to know the underwater world that so few of us have even visited.

dasparkhotel

dasparkhotel is conceived and implemented primarily as a hospitality tool.

It is constructed from repurposed, incredibly robust drain pipes.

The external simplicity surrounds an unexpectedly comfortable interior - full headroom, double bed, storage, light, power, woolly blanket and light cotton sleeping bag. All other hotelery devices (Toilets, showers, minibar, cafe, etc) are supplied by the surrounding public space.
From May through October
the simultaneously functional and comfortable concrete sleep-pipes offer the chance to experience a place in a totally new way.

Personal door code
Upon booking you will receive a code to allow entry to your personal suite.

For the period of your stay dasparkhotel remains your all hours access safety zone - the charger for your personal energy reserves.

The chance to safely store your luggage and recharge portable electronic devices allows complete freedom of movement.

Infrastructure
Because we obtain sanitation, breakfast and other hotel facilities from existing public infrastructure, it is possible for us to work with the very simple, user-friendly “pay as you wish” system. A night in dasparkhotel costs just as much as you can afford or want to pay.

Costs
We see “pay as you wish” as a system where customers leave a Euro amount that they can afford and with which they wish to support our project.

Reservations
Reservations can be made at http://www.dasparkhotel.net/reservation at any time.

McMenamins Kennedy School

Remember when the worst thing you could imagine was being kept after class? My, how things have changed! At Kennedy School, you’ll never want to leave.

Here you may chew gum, laugh out loud, and even pull that special someone’s pigtails (as long as they approve, of course!), take a nap in class, enjoy an aged whiskey and a cigar in detention, and enjoy a movie in the old auditorium. The possibilities here are endless.

Since it opened in 1915, this historic elementary school has been a beloved fixture of its Northeast Portland neighborhood. McMenamins has renovated the once-abandoned scholastic gem and turned it into Portland’s most delightful lodging establishment. Here you’ll find 35 comfy guestrooms fashioned from former classrooms (complete with original chalkboards and cloakrooms, private baths, telephones and modems), a truly unique restaurant, multiple cozy bars, a movie theater, soaking pool, and even a working brewery (just wait until the principal hears about this!). Extensive original artwork and historical photographs cover the walls, ceilings, doorways and hallways of this place and the gift shop beckons with mementos of your stay.

the CITY LODGE

propeller island - this means aesthetic sensation for the eye and the ear. propeller island is a pseudonym used by the german artist lars stroschen to publish his audio-visual creations. unlimited diversity, repeating nothing and copying nothing are the guiding principles here.
the most popular result: the CITY LODGE, a habitable work of art in the heart of berlin, whose wealth of ideas never fails to attract everyone into its gravitational field and to continue inspiring guests long afterwards. a magnet for creative individuals, those weary of consumption, those who see things differently, philosophers and seekers of perspective and vision. frequented by personalities from around the globe, this vision machine is a much-desired shooting site for photo sessions and video clips. is that perhaps the reason these rooms seem so familiar to you...?

Hotel Everland

Hotel Everland is a project by Swiss artist-duo L/B (Sabina Lang and Daniel Baumann). L/B are known for their Installations that deal with architecture and space and invite the viewer to get involved and become part of the artwork.

Everland is a Hotel with only one room including a bathroom, a king-size bed and a lounge. The bounteous dimensioned room represents the subjective dream of a hotel: the architecture, the playful details, as well as the request to steal the golden embroidered bath towels. All Everland guests are partaking in the project.

Also the concept for operating the hotel was defined by the artists. All facets are important constituents of the artistic idea: The room can be booked for one night only, the mini-bar is fully stocked and included in the price, breakfast is delivered to the door and a record collection stands at ones disposal.
